On 10th October 2025 Maastricht University is celebrating an official launch of two WHO Collaborating Centres as a hybrid conference at the Maastricht Convention Bureau.

In March 2025 the WHO has designated two Departments at Care and Public Health Research Institute (CAPHRI), Maastricht University as WHO Collaborating Centres. These are the Department of International Health as the WHO Collaborating Centre for Public Health Leadership and Workforce Development, led by prof. dr.
