About

Dr. Avi Magid is a Romanian-Israelian epidemiologist in the Epidemiology Unit and the Management of Rambam Health Care Campus (Haifa, Israel). He is responsible for developing and conducting a wide range of clinical and epidemiological research projects, including big data projects. He is a Research Associate at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev’s school of Public Health. He is a member of the ASPHER’s Public Health Emergencies Task Force. Recently, he established the new “Health Data Needs for Research and Policy” subgroup of ASPHER’s Public Health Emergencies Task Force. His research focuses on epidemiological methods, clinical epidemiology, mortality and life expectancy, epidemiology of infectious diseases, cancer epidemiology, public health emergency preparedness, global public health and vaccination policy.
He is a visiting scholar at the Maastricht University's Department of International Health (The Netherlands).
